Parks and Recreation Facilities
The City Council of the City of Bushnell, Florida, has determined that in order to promote and serve the best interest of the citizens, it is appropriate and proper to amend certain provisions of Chapter 17 of the Code of Ordinances governing Parks and Recreational uses. The parks and other recreational facilities in the City are supported through property taxes received from the citizens of Bushnell. Many users of these facilities live outside the City of Bushnell, but reap the benefits of the use of the Parks.
Due to the increased costs to maintain the parks, ball fields, and concession stands, the City needs to recoup some of those costs from the users by charging a use fee. These fees will help the City to maintain the concession stand equipment, and ball fields and park lighting.
The City of Bushnell Community Center, located at 407 E. Belt Avenue, consists of a 4,000 square foot building with open interior architecture housing a full kitchen, stage and restroom facilities. This facility will accommodate parking for approximately 97 vehicles and has an interior capacity of 125 occupants. The grounds consist of two tee-ball fields, a small playground and picnic pavilion area, a shuffle board court, and a lit basketball court.
The Community Center is available for rental to the general public by reservation only. Click on the links below to download and review both the Rental Requirements/Guidelines and the Community Center Rental Application.
