The Streets Division is responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Maintenance of all streets, sidewalks and right-of-ways within city limits, including:
- Mowing of right-of-ways
- Ground maintenance of all city buildings
- Trimming of trees
- Tree and stump removal and disposal
- Landscaping, fertilizing and pest control of city landscape beds and parks
- Patching of potholes and street resurfacing
- Purchasing of small items and recommendations for larger purchase items
- Maintenance of City's Evergreen Cemetery, including:
- Pruning and trimming of landscape
- Locating grave markers
- Irrigation of property
- Roadway maintenance
- Preventative maintenance of Public Works' vehicles and equipment
- Preventative maintenance on city buildings, including:
- Painting
- Simple electrical and plumbing repairs
- A/C filter replacement
