Changes to Fees for Bushnell Parks and Recreation Use of Fields and Concession Stands

Published in Parks and Recreation Facilities

The City Council of the City of Bushnell, Florida, has determined that in order to promote and serve the best interest of the citizens, it is appropriate and proper to amend certain provisions of Chapter 17 of the Code of Ordinances governing Parks and Recreational uses. The parks and other recreational facilities in the City are supported through property taxes received from the citizens of Bushnell. Many users of these facilities live outside the City of Bushnell, but reap the benefits of the use of the Parks.

Due to the increased costs to maintain the parks, ball fields, and concession stands, the City needs to recoup some of those costs from the users by charging a use fee. These fees will help the City to maintain the concession stand equipment, and ball fields and park lighting.
