This annual event is
said to have began in the 1930's and has been passed
down between organizations and clubs in the ever since.
Currently, it is Organized by the Sumter Civic Club
with assistance from the Bushnell branch of the State
Probation and Parol offices and sponsored by donations
from multiple merchants and citizens within Bushnell.
On the 3rd Saturday of December at approximately 6:30p.m
(At Dark) Santa makes his annual trip to the City Christmas
Tree located at the South Sumter High School (700 N
MAIN STREET) with Toys and Goodies for 500 kids!
All are welcome to enjoy.
The City of Bushnell is proud to be a contributor to
this annual spreading of cheer, from the stringing of
the lights, to providing monetary support.
