MISCELLANEOUS BOARDS
COUNCIL
The Bushnell City Council consists of five voting members: Mayor,
Vice Mayor and three members each running on four year terms
for seats one through five and each having one vote. The Council
Chambers are located adjacent to Bushnell City Hall at 219 N
Market Street.
An affirmative vote of three members is necessary to transact
municipal business. The City Council’s regular meetings are held once
monthly on the first Monday of the month at 6:00 pm.
The City Council legislate City Ordinances, adopt resolutions, approve
policies, adopt budgets, set the milage rate and conduct other
municipal business.

Billy K. Williams
Both Councilman Williams and Councilman Swain have held offices for
over 17 years.
The Bushnell City Council appoints various Boards to help them in
the decision-making processes involved in operating our municipal
government. These boards are made up of volunteer citizens appointed
by the City Council as well as City Employees. Among these boards are:
Board of Adjustment and Code Enforcement, (BACE)
Provides advise to the City Council on issues of code compliance,
development & subdivision of land as well as zoning.

represented, that means there was nothing on the agenda to have a
meeting that month.
Pension Boards
Responsible for the oversight and investments of the pension funds as
well as regulates changes to pension related polices.
Library Advisory Board
Provides input from citizens on the operations, programs and materials
that are available though the Bushnell Public Library.
Cemetery Board
Provides recommendations to the City Council on the operations,
maintenance and capital expansions of the Bushnell Evergreen Cemetery. |
